mcWarn - XML Weather Warning Extractor Tool

mcWarn is a command-line program. Its purpose is to take an XML weather warnings file, and extract the data into a form that MCH can understand.

The program is specifically designed to process files originating with Environment Canada; it can very easily be modified to work with any other format.

The output is an MCH warnings file, keyed to a specific location. It can be directly read in by MCH and incorporated into the database.

Warnings are retained by MCH for up to six hours.
