This receiver was acquired in late 2019, and was our prime receiver for DXing for several years. However, the current spate of solar activity associated with Sunspot Maximum has negated the need for this one, for now. In service at the CTO, this CCRadio3 was used in the logging of approximately 300 stations in the AM band, plus a number of FM stations. The CCRadio3 covers 520-1710 kHz (AM), 88-108 MHz (FM), 144-148 MHz (Ham), and 162.4-162.55 MHz (Weather), and includes Bluetooth input. Although the unit does not have direct entry, it is digital. Reception is phenomenal, and this unit is often paired with a Terk Advantage tuned loop antenna. This receiver will come back into use once meaningful DX returns. |
