This unit dates back to 1981; it was passed along to us in 2000. Unfortunately, our knowledge of this unit is less than optimal. I know that you could program it for up to eight frequencies, and it would scan through them, stopping if it picked it up a continuous signal. Other features included a switchable delay of two seconds from the last transmission, before resuming a scan, the ability to lock out channels not currently wanted, and a manual-scan mode. The Pro-2008 covers 30-50 mHz (VHF), 148-174 mHz (VHF), and 410-512 Mhz (UHF). Unfortunately, the fluorescent display on this unit recently died. I am now taking a new interest in electronics, in the faint hope that I may be able to repair it in future. This unit is being restored, regardless. |
