 We acquired this compact unit in 2018, and it was a nice surprise. AM performance is excellent, and it performs well on all bands. During the current solar maximum, it is our go-to device for DXing. We have used the Grundig in the reception of approximately 300 stations here at CTO. The Grundid covers 150-285 kHz (Longwave), 520-1710 kHz (AM), 1.711-29.999 Mhz (Shortwave), 87.5-108 MHz (FM), and 117-137 MHz (Air). The unit includes direct entry of frequencies, incremental up-down buttons, and a tuning dial with one-tap fine-tuning. A BFO enables single-sideband and ECSs reception. Finally, several filters allow narrow-to-wideband reception. |
